As I was reading through some blogs created by other teachers I discovered this post by Bud titled "Whats "Print?"" Bud goes on to explain how it's becoming increasingly irrelevant to describe a source as print and suggest that identifying sources as primary and secondary may be more appropriate. Week 3 Thing 7
RSS or "Really Simple Syndication" is really simple! I now have 6 active subscriptions in Google Reader. I guess that would make me amongst the 8% of people currenctly aware and using RSS. Cool! I really love the fact that multiple blogs/sites will send their recent feeds to me. This is really going to save me a lot of time now that I don't have to go to each individual site.

Week 2 Thing 6 Gloster

I just completed my first Glogster poster. I created it using some pics I took of my students creating watercolors. It was so fun to make the poster. I think this application is great for all...it allows the creative to be creative and those with less confidence in their ability to still manage to create something that looks amazing!

Week 2 Thing 5 Hope Lives
I love this Flickr poster/magazine application so much I just had to share what I created. I think students could easily use the same application to create motivational posters or magazine covers.
My First Trading Card
I just figured out how to create my first trading card using this online application. It was super easy and fun. I also love how easy it was to post this trading card on Facebook, Flickr, and my blog!
Watercolor Poetry
This past quater in my fifth grade class the students created various types of watercolors. The watercolor pictured here was one of my favorite student created pieces. Following the creation of the watercolors the students used them as inspiration for their original works of poetry. This was a successful activity becuase the students were highly motivated throughout the entirety of the project.
